Magnification and Image Brightness

As microscopic images are magnified to a higher degree, they inherently become dimmer because the available light is spread over a larger visual area, resulting in less light per unit area. Consequently, producing clear, highly magnified images requires an intense light source to compensate for this loss of brightness.
