Methods for retrospective review of elderly COVID-19 patients receiving either almodipine or nifedipine

There were two groups, one group received either almodipine or nifedipine (24 patients in this group) and the other group did not receive the drug (41 patients in this group)
All patients were managed by a clinical team and were administered antibiotics in addition to hdroxychloroquine upon patient consent and/or QTc prolongation status.
Patient outcomes were examined for survival to discharge and leaving hospital against medical advice leading to expiration; need for intubation and mechanical ventaliation was also assessed
Clinical comorbidities and demographic and clinical data were reviewed
