Methods of the Study of CS Students and Gender Differences

The student population sample involved in the study was 1145 students from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), of which 972 were male and 173 were female. All of them were given questionnaires that discussed the reason they chose computer science as their major, what barriers/obstacles that might have motivated them to quit, and what their future plans were in this major.
