Meyer Friedman

Meyer Friedman was a cardiologist in the 1950s whose work was foundational to identifying the Type A behavior pattern. His research was initiated after he observed a peculiar wear pattern on his waiting room chairs, which led him to hypothesize that cardiology patients might share a distinct personality and behavioral profile compared to other types of patients.
