Midpoint Formula
The Midpoint Formula finds the point that lies exactly halfway between two endpoints and in the coordinate plane. The midpoint is:M = \left(\frac{x_1 + x_2}{2},\; \frac{y_1 + y_2}{2} ight)Each coordinate of the midpoint is the average (arithmetic mean) of the corresponding coordinates of the two endpoints. The -coordinate of the midpoint is the average of the two -values, and the -coordinate is the average of the two -values.
