Concept

Monocular Cues

Monocular cues are visual signals that enable depth perception using only one eye. This allows for the interpretation of depth in two-dimensional arrays, such as paintings and photographs, and is sufficient for navigating the environment, as demonstrated by the ability to walk without collision using a single eye. Notably, there are a greater number of monocular cues than binocular cues.
