Moral Hazard (Hidden Actions)

Moral hazard, also known as the hidden actions problem, arises from a conflict of interest between a principal and an agent. It occurs when the agent can take actions that affect the principal, but these actions cannot be observed by the principal or verified by a third party, such as a court.
