Mouthwashes and oral rises may prevent the spread of COVID-19

Scientists have been researching on certain oral antiseptics that may inactivate the virus in the mouth and may prevent the spread of COVID-19. The researchers used antiseptics like 1% solution of baby shampoo, a neti pot, peroxide sore-mouth cleansers, and mouthwashes. They found that all of these were able to inactivate 99% of the virus in 30 seconds or less. This may help reduce the transmission of the virus, as there are several cases where individuals with the virus pass on the virus to family members even with taking all precautions.
