Prevention of COVID-19

Preventing the spread of COVID-19 involves both non-pharmacological and pharmacological measures. Non-pharmacological strategies include wearing face masks, maintaining social distancing, practicing hand hygiene (using soap or hand sanitizers), and disinfecting surfaces. Pharmacological prevention includes the administration of vaccines and prophylactic treatments, such as ongoing research into oral antiseptics designed to inactivate the virus in the mouth to reduce transmission.
