Naomi Weisstein's Impact on Feminist Psychology

In her 1968 article, Naomi Weisstein pointed out that male psychologists, rather than using objective means to measure women, were influenced by cultural norms when they studied women. To bolster her argument, Weisstein critiqued well-known psychologists at the time such as Bruno Bettleheim, who stated that women's main goal is to be with men and have children; more than they would have an interest in becoming scientists.
