Despite the fact that there are no accurate numbers detailing how many post-stroke individuals have apraxia, there are some studies that show that post-stroke aphasia and post-stroke apraxia commonly occur together.

Post-Stroke Aphasia is tested for in a  variety of ways- by assessing communicative transitive gestures such as "waving like a queen" or "saluting like a soldier", by a patient's ability to follow a steady line, or by regular tapping.
