Censorship in regard to the information and library field refers to denial of access to requested/desired information. This can extend to literature, media, and various other platforms. When discussing proponents for or against censorship it is important to delineate disinformation and harmful content versus giving information that is requested from Librarians.

A phenomenon in which individuals who have access to information prefer not to seek it out or be exposed to it.

Plagiarism is an unethical practice that involves using someone else's words or ideas without giving them proper acknowledgment. In academic research, maintaining scholarly integrity during the writing and publication process requires researchers to actively avoid plagiarism by correctly citing original sources.
