Olfactory training treatment for postviral olfactory dysfunction
COVID-19 patients often report experiencing parosmia, even after the other symptoms had already recovered. However, through olfactory training, the patients' olfactory functions recovered slowly. The olfactory system in the patients exhibited significant plasticity and the ability to develop new neural connections.
