Online education and its relation to disparate outcomes in the COVID-19 pandemic

Students who come from low-income households are more likely to attend low quality school districts, which usually have less access to quality education resources. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many schools have switched to an online mode of learning. Students who attend low quality and poor schools may not be provided or have their own computers and internet to attend online school. Because of this, students from low-income families are at a disadvantage compared to wealthier students in terms of education.
