Par Level Definition for Truck Stock Items

A par level is the target on-hand quantity set for each truck-stock item. The company owner or service manager defines par levels by reviewing which service-call types occur most frequently and which materials those calls consume. Items that appear on nearly every residential call—such as receptacles, wire nuts, and common breakers—receive higher par levels, while specialty items like AFCI devices may carry a par of just one or two units. Par levels turn restocking from guesswork into a repeatable checklist.
