Physiological Functions of the Parasympathetic Nervous System
The parasympathetic nervous system regulates various physiological responses to return the body to routine operations, including constricting pupils, stimulating salivation, slowing heart rate, constricting bronchi, stimulating digestion, stimulating bile secretion, and causing the bladder to contract.
