Concept
Positive Cultural Stereotypes and Asian-American Academic Success
Positive cultural stereotypes contribute to the academic success of Asian-American students through internalized beliefs and external expectations. Young Asian-Americans often internalize the stereotype that they are destined for academic success. Additionally, teachers tend to evaluate them more positively based on these cultural expectations, which inadvertently boosts the students' academic performance.
