Practices to Avoid for Realistic Gesture Responses
When designing material that responds to gestures, avoid interactions that merely trigger an animation; elements should instead be directly controlled by the user's touch. Furthermore, do not misrepresent the velocity of a gesture in the resulting animation. The animation's speed must accurately match the speed of the user's touch.
