Short Answer

Predicting Behavior in a Group Project

A group of students is working on a project where everyone receives the same grade. One member consistently fails to complete their share of the work, forcing the others to compensate. After the project is submitted, the instructor allows students to anonymously recommend a grade reduction for a non-contributing member. However, to do so, they must write a detailed justification, which will take a significant amount of their study time for an upcoming final exam. Based on experimental findings regarding the enforcement of cooperation in groups, predict the likely behavior of the hardworking students and explain the reasoning behind your prediction.
