Private Property Insecurity as a Hindrance to Dynamism

When the rule of law is weak and contracts are not reliably enforced, private property becomes insecure. This insecurity, stemming from the risk of expropriation by criminal elements or the government itself, discourages investment and undermines the dynamism of a capitalist economy.
