Students may feel emotional and professional pressure to accept their “duty” and begin work despite their concerns due to the messages shown on social media. Additionally, students may feel that in the future, there will be a separation between students who helped during the COVID-19 pandemic and those who did not.

The question of responsibility comes into play as well. Will the student’s mental and physical suffering be the university’s liability?
