Production Bottleneck

A production bottleneck is a point of congestion in a production system, such as a manufacturing line or a supply chain, that limits the overall throughput. The capacity of the entire system is limited by the capacity of the bottleneck. Identifying and managing bottlenecks is a key aspect of process improvement and operations management.
