  • Identifying with means seeking to better understand the link to this group, often due to being implicated in the culture and politics of this group.
  • Could be traditionally thought of as an ally, but might be considered more personal, sustained, and affective due to the careful, conscious joining that seeks to reduce separation while acknowledging power differential.
