Concept Nodes on 1Cademy

When proposing a new child node in 1Cademy, after clicking the pencil icon on the immediate prerequisite node, a sidebar on the left side of the map provides a list of child node types. Select the appropriate node type based on the information being proposed.

Although both concept and relation nodes can display relationships between two or more concepts on 1Cademy, they differ in their outcome. If the relationship produces nothing new, it is represented by a relation node. If a new concept is produced or the original concepts are modified, it is represented by a concept node.

To add a relation node to the map, users will select the relation node to display that information. The title will introduce the relationship, and the content will expand on it.

To add a snippet of code to the map, users will select the child code node to display it. The title will introduce the code snippet and the body of the node will contain the code snippet.
