Psychological effect of COVID-19 on youth quarantined or isolated: differing results among countries

The Spanish children were found to be significantly more affected than the Italian children (88.9% versus 83.8%). Spanish caregivers reported more behavioral problems and feelings of stress and worry, whereas the Italian children reported more feelings of sadness and loneliness. This difference could be due to Italy’s lower restrictions on outdoor walks and the fact that more Italian homes have gardens.
