Purification from Distraction and Embracing Spiritual Fire in Attar's Mokhtar Nameh (Chapter 19, Poem 11)

In Chapter 19, Poem 11 of Attar's Mokhtar Nameh, the speaker instructs the seeker on how to ensure a pleasant state in the hereafter ('there'). The fundamental requirement is to transition the soul completely cleansed of distraction or division (تفرقه - tafraqeh). Furthermore, the poem asserts that being immersed in purifying spiritual fire and hardship in this world is vastly preferable to arriving in the next with a troubled and unprepared heart.
