Purpose of Large Random Samples
In research, random samples are preferred because, assuming the sample size is sufficiently large, researchers can be reasonably sure that the participating individuals form a representative sample. This ensures the percentages of key characteristics in the sample match the larger population, making it possible to generalize the findings.
