Rate of Work in Work Applications

In a work application, the rate of work is the fraction of the total job completed in one unit of time. If an individual or machine works at a steady pace and can complete a full job in tt hours alone, the part of the job completed in 11 hour is represented by the rational expression 1t\frac{1}{t}. This principle applies to both individual rates and the combined rate when multiple entities work together.
