Although people might assume that reality television programs offer a glimpse into authentic human behavior, these shows violate the principle of inconspicuous observation. Because reality stars are constantly followed by camera crews and participate in on-camera interviews, their behaviors are likely modified by the presence of observers, making them less natural and realistic.
