Reason Behind Heightened Chinese Parenting Care

The One-Child Policy in China made it so married couples could only have one child. This policy made it easier for that child to receive a “surplus” of care, since there were no siblings to share parental attention with. Chinese children are more likely to be only children and grandchildren than other Asian children, allow more resources to be put towards their success. This mostly explains the reason why Chinese children have heightened reports of parental care as opposed to Korean, or Japanese children.
