Reasons for Terminating a Job Match

The dissolution of a job match can be initiated by either the worker or the firm for various reasons. A worker may choose to leave for a different job—a transition that does not change the total number of filled jobs—or they may quit to search for new employment or exit the labor market entirely. A firm may end the contract due to unsatisfactory employee performance, or it might eliminate the job because the tasks are no longer required or the company is closing down.
