Rumination Disorder: Consequences
Because Rumination Disorder is involuntary, it is difficult to prevent its consequences without receiving medical treatment. Some physical consequences of the disorder are:
- Malnutrition
- Unintended and/or unhealthy weight loss
- Bad breath
- Damage to teeth by regurgitated stomach acid
