Safety and low abuse potential of psilocybin
Research since the late 1950s suggests that psilocybin is a relatively safe central nervous system-acting drug in healthy subjects, with therapeutic benefits that can outweigh its risks given its low potential for abuse (Tylš et al., 2014).
