SARS-CoV-2 IgG correlates directly with viral neutralization in Self-amplifying RNA SARS-CoV-2 lipid nanoparticle vaccine candidate induces high neutralizing antibody titers in mice
The study determined if there was a correlation between SARS-CoV-2 IgG and SARS-CoV-2 neutralization in vaccinated mice and patients who recovered from COVID-19. Both the mice and patients showed a positive correlation between antibody level and viral neutralization, demonstrating that the antibody levels does induce higher neutralization. saRNA LNP-vaccinated mice and recovered COVID-19 patients displayed SARS-CoV-2 IgG levels that were correlated with wild type virus neutralization titers.
