Scientific Evidence vs. Scientific Proof

In science, there is no such thing as definitive scientific proof; instead, there is only scientific evidence. Because every research design has inherent strengths and weaknesses, no single study can be considered completely definitive. Rather, each individual study incrementally brings researchers closer to understanding the truth.
