بر دو قسم است امر اگر یابی
امر ایجادی است و ایجابی
امر ایجادی امر «کُن» باشد
که مفیض نو و کهن باشد
زو تخلف نمیکند مدلول
زانکه او علت است و این معلول
امر ایجابی از حکیم ازل
صیغه «اِفعَل» است و «لا تَفعَل»
بر قوی روشن است و بر عاجز
که تخلف ازان بود جایز
English translation
Command is of two kinds, if you perceive it: There is the creative (existential) command, and the prescriptive (obligatory) command.
The creative command is the command 'Be' ('Kun'), Which bestows existence upon both the new and the old.
The effect never fails to follow this command, For that is the cause, and this is the effect.
The prescriptive command from the Eternal Wise One Takes the form of 'Do' ('If'al') and 'Do not' ('La taf'al').
It is clear to both the strong and the weak That deviation from this command is possible.
