Selflessness and Placelessness of the Soul in Attar's Mokhtar Nameh (Chapter 6, Poem 79)

In Poem 79 of Chapter 6 of the Mokhtar Nameh, Attar uses the polo ball metaphor to represent complete selflessness and surrender to the divine will. By achieving a state of existence transcending time and space, the mystic realizes placelessness (la-makan), rendering any specific physical location unnecessary.
