Seymour Harris

Seymour Harris, a Harvard economist and proponent of 'the new economics,' played a direct role in shaping President John F. Kennedy's economic understanding. In 1960, he briefed the then-Senator on Keynesian principles and later provided him with private lessons. Harris also promoted these ideas to a wider audience through his book, 'Saving American Capitalism'.
