Shabestari's Concept of the Embodiment of Deeds (Tajassum-e A'mal)
In Section 46 of the Rose Garden of Mystery (Golshan-e Raz), Mahmud Shabestari explains the concept of Resurrection (Hashr) through the spiritual principle of the embodiment of deeds (Tajassum-e A'mal). He asserts that all human actions, thoughts, and morals—which are accumulated within the soul over a lifetime—will become clearly visible when the soul is stripped of its physical body. According to Shabestari, in the hereafter, one's inner character traits will take on specific, transparent, and concrete forms corresponding to their true nature, making hidden virtues and vices unmistakably apparent.
