Concept
Short-term effects of Skin-To-Skin Care
When skin-to-skin care happens in the first hour after birth, the mother gains self-confidence, and the bonding with the baby is what follows. The stress, pain, and anxiety from giving birth is gone when this type of care happens and the mother feels more relaxed and starts developing a close bond. For the baby, this gives it a stronger immune system, control of body temperature, important deep sleeps, and cries a lot less.
