Slope of the Aggregate Demand Curve in an Open Economy with Government

In an open economy with a government, the slope of the aggregate demand curve is determined not only by the marginal propensity to consume (c1c_1) but also by the tax rate (tt) and the marginal propensity to import (mm). These additional factors, which represent leakages from the circular flow of income, make the aggregate demand curve flatter than in the simplified model, thereby reducing the size of the multiplier.
