Social Transition for Transgender Individuals
Social transition involves changes in a person's self-presentation and interpersonal relationships to better align with their gender identity. This can include adopting a new name or pronouns, as well as altering one's dress, hairstyle, or mannerisms. Many transgender individuals who socially transition do so without making any changes to their physical anatomy.
