Stanley Milgram
Stanley Milgram was an American social psychologist who is most famous for his controversial and highly influential research on obedience. His studies were originally motivated by the trial of Adolf Eichmann, a Nazi war criminal, and sought to understand if people would inflict severe pain on others simply because they were following orders from an authority figure.
