Streaming Service Strategy Evaluation

A streaming service company is deciding between two content strategies.

Strategy A: License content from various studios. This involves a small upfront fee and a larger fee paid for each subscriber who watches the content.

Strategy B: Produce original, exclusive content. This requires a very large upfront investment for production, but the cost to stream this content to an additional subscriber is negligible.

Evaluate the long-term financial viability of each strategy. Justify which strategy is more likely to achieve a lower average cost per subscriber in a large, growing market, and explain the reasoning behind your conclusion.
