Cognitive-behavioral, eclectic, and psychodynamic therapy methods and specific psychotherapy programs have reduced psychopathic tendencies, such as decreased lying, manipulation, and increased empathy, as well as improved social relationships. 

Effective Psychotherapy Treatments for Psychopathy

Many used to believe that psychopathy was untreatable because as of about 2011, there hadn't been any successful treatment methods. One possible reason for this belief is that for psychotherapy to work, the patient must be willing and eager to change. However, psychopaths don’t see any issues with their personality, in fact, they see themselves as superior and tend to resent others (including therapists). Since then, successful methods have had encouraging results. For example, the Caldwell decompression therapy for juveniles. Hence, treatment should be encouraged.
