Study on the Prevalence of Low-Credibility Information on Twitter During the COVID-19 Outbreak

A 2020 study by Yang et al. analyzed the prevalence of low-credibility COVID-19 information on Twitter. The findings indicated that low-credibility information was relatively uncommon compared to high-quality, factual information. However, social bots were significantly more active than human users in spreading and posting the low-credibility content.
