Subtraction of Polynomial Functions

Just as polynomials can be subtracted, polynomial functions can also be combined through subtraction. For any two polynomial functions f(x)f(x) and g(x)g(x), their difference is defined by the mathematical operation: (fg)(x)=f(x)g(x)(f - g)(x) = f(x) - g(x). To evaluate the difference between two polynomial functions, substitute their defining polynomial expressions into this equation, carefully distribute the subtraction sign across the second polynomial, and then simplify the result by combining like terms.
