Being exposed to electronic media violence increases the risk of children and adults behaving aggressively in the short run and of children behaving aggressively in the long run. This can be considered a public health threat because the effect size is significantly larger than other threats. Not every child who is exposed to this threat will become predisposed to engage in violent behavior; however, it should not be ignored.
