Symptoms of Anxiety and Depression in Post-Stroke Aphasiacs

Post-Stroke Anxiety or Depression is commonly defined by the onset of at least four or more of the following symptoms for two or more weeks after the stroke event: decreased interest in activities, decreased pleasure in life, changes in weight/ appetite, changes in sleep, poor energy, guilt, feelings of worthlessness, excessive worrying, low energy, poor concentration, suicidal thoughts, increased muscle tension, and slower or less accurate hand-eye coordination and motion.
