The Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967
The Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 makes it unlawful for an employer to discriminate against an individual because of their age in any aspect of employment. However, the act also includes provisions for bona fide occupational qualifications (BFOQs), which allow for age-based requirements when age is a necessary qualification for a particular job.
